Above Ground Pools vs. In-Ground Pools
Congratulations on deciding to add a swimming pool to your backyard! Now… are you getting an in-ground pool or an above ground pool?
Tough decision, right?
There are pros and cons to both styles, and a lot of it depends on several individualized factors. So let’s see if we can narrow it down a bit for you, shall we?
Budget
This is going to be your number one deciding factor when you’re choosing between an above ground and in-ground pool; your budget will tell you which you can afford. In all likelihood, an in-ground pool is going to cost you more. This has a lot to do with the excavation, plumbing, installation time/effort and structure of the pool.
While above ground pools require a level surface, which may mean a little ground work and possibly a concrete patio, the installation process is much faster and simpler. Splash SuperPools have a single day installation (after the concrete pad is ready) and are competitively priced in the above ground pool sector.
Visual Appeal
Upon first thought, many believe an in-ground pool to be more visually appealing, especially with the extras such as a stamped concrete patio or deck. However, an above ground pool can also be visually appealing for your backyard, depending on your design preferences.
You can add a deck surround for visual effect.
Total Swimming Area
You might find as you browse available dealers that the sizing of above ground pools can be limited, while many custom in-ground pool designs mean a wider range of size and depth options. While Splash Pools doesn’t offer varying depths in a single pool, we do have everything from our Tadpool at two feet deep to our SuperPool.
Additionally, while Splash Pools have predetermined sizes available, we specialize in custom sizing. We’ve done everything from 4 x 4 feet to as large as 108 x 312 feet.
At Splash Pools, we’re honored to help make your backyard dreams come true with one of our above ground pools. We recognize the decision can be difficult, and we’re happy to answer any questions you may have so you find the perfect pool for your needs and desires.
